Reality check: Surgeons have an easy time keeping people alive while their chests are open like this. I have personally had surgeries that involved opening my chest and taking apart my ribcage. Not quite this extreme, but similar and close enough. There's a gore gif floating around that shows a guy with his entire lower body severed at the waist by a train and his intestines spilling out. There's also a photo of him in physical therapy six months later practicing walking with his hands. This is nothing. |
