Clopitor: too dang true. I really wish the writers would break away from that "poor = noble/rich = bastards" stereotype. I mean SERIOUSLY. the consequence of portraying the most honest and hardworking ponies in Ponyville as the hardest struggling is to pass the message that hard work and honesty don't pay. And it's incongruous that Filthy Rich's family became millionaires off the Apples' ZapApple jam sales while the Apples themselves are still struggling dirt farmers. |
