Vinly having red eyes is filed in my headcanon under "would be interesting and kinda cool, but do not really care"

No, Anon, it is still just a silly complaint. It it was about people being too defensive of their fanon, it would be "I don't like that bronies are too defensive of their fanon". Anyway, that's still untrue. Who's forgetting that it's fanon? Who's claimed otherwise? The ones who forget it are the ones who complain and not notice that they can believe whatever they want. No, this is pointless crying over what other artists make popular. |

I like to think they are red.
But I don't care what color are as long as she's expressive with them. It goes all nicely with my personality head canon that she's very open and free with her emotions for better or worse. She has trouble hiding though and there's a bit of loneliness behind those eyes... The shades made to help hide... and make her look cooler. That's also very important. Oh also blind Scratch I'm starting to like too |

Ever since seeing the red eyes, I can't imagine them being any other color. They just look too good.

I do think she has issues with her eyes. Perhaps they are sensitive so she needs to wear glasses in even a dark room.
Also, red eyes FTW, but I doubt the show will ever address this so keep on pretending whatever color they are. Her real color is an off yellow but no one cares about that anymore. |

Wow, I guess it is true. If you express an unpopular opnion in the pony fandom you get mauled on or just accused of being a whiner.
I get called out for saying I don't like red eyes on Vinyl. Yet people on this very site express their undying hate of Gilda, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, pre-G4 MLP, and rule 34 on an almost hourly basis with no consequence. I've even seen someone receive death threats for expressing his dislike of Nyx! And not even all popular artists have her eyes red. Christinies, ConfusingArt, Karzahnii, IMP-Oster, and SirRadical have all made popular pieces with different colored eyes. And the majority of popular art don't even show her eyes in the first place! So much for love and tolerance. |

^ That could be said of any Fandom. Besides most of the characters in the show hate Gilda, Diamond Tiara, and Silver Spoon so there fair game. And R34 is disliked by the series creator (Lauren Faust) so it's generally considered fair game as well. Also Ponibooru hates Nyx with a burning passion and generally likes Gen 1 of Mlp.
This entire issue seems silly to me. A bunch of bronies (not all of them) like her eyes red, then that's there opinion. You deserve to have your own opinion. Those people who complained about her eyecolor not being red in the fanart are idiots, but you are engaging in the same level of stupidity by saying her eyes are definitely not red. Maybe they are or maybe there not, It's all headcannon.How is raging against not having red eyes any different from you raging against red eyes. Hell, you even note that several artists don't give her red so saying that the fandom has universally decided (you make us sound like were a council) on something is a bit of a exaggeration. Btw all of the background character's names are Fandom too. So Vinyl's name is just as unofficial as her eye color. |
