Really? Straying too far from the established canon? That is the. DUMBEST reason I have ever heard of. How many fanfics go through there a day about random stuff, shipping, and all that other stuff that have nothing to do with canon or anything?
Being on Ponibooru for about a few weeks now has really made me start to hate EqD for stupid shit like that. All the Bronuns there are so damn annoying. I've only had time enough to read a few fanfics from EqD and to me, they weren't compelling at all and just left me bored, most of them had about the same logic as a Sonic Fanfic. |

Yeah, don't be scared of the sheer amount of fics. A lot of them are bad, and readers who want to read a good fic will take the time to look for one. It's all about presentation: Write an epic summary and head it with a badass image, and people will read. Remember the early days of the fandom? Were we were all friends and didn't complain about about fanon not being canon or stupid stuff like that? I actually remember when EqD opened up, since it was the early months of the fandom, there was SO much content, not like now though. I think we have a bit to many kiddies in the fandom and those are the people complaining about stuff like pony porn (Which makes no sense, atleast we aren't ACTUALLY having sex with equines like some people do) and etc. Sure I might occasionally rage a bit but atleast I'm not complaining about stupid shit like Derpy being offensive and R34.
Also I have to say that Ponibooru is the only place I know were people don't constantly complain about stuff like this. Unlike EqD, Ponychan, and sometimes the Bronies on KYM. I stopped going to KYM awhile ago, went to Ponibooru and never went back. |

Yeah, the problem is that EqD's community sucks ass. They didn't shit storm because there was no pic and it was sneaked in at a later point on another message.
