Hippocamps are known to be carnivorous lurking on the edge of the sea or in shallow rivers to pull unsuspecting prey to a watery grave; they are also said to be cannibalistic and I am completely making this up but am probably right on some points |

The hippocamps inhabit the seas, kelpies are freshwater. The hippocampos are half fish half horse. The kelpies are beautiful horses with sharp teeth.
