So, most of the reaction I heard about him is nothing but hate, or a want to beat the fuck out of him, but from what I know, he's technically a good guy, like the SCP Foundation. Any thoughts/elaborations?
I mean, when the girls die, does he do it in gruesome ways himself, or do they just die naturally faster, or he waits untill they fall in battle (and again, horribly, or Disney Death)? |

(SPOILERS AHEAD) Basically, he needs the thermodynamics-violating energy released when their souls fall apart from continually fighting monsters and their own despair, and uses this energy to ward off the heat death of the universe. He himself has no hand in this, he simply does not tell them it's part of being a magical girl until it's too late. He considers it a concluded deal, and is like "what is it with you people" when anyone complains. His actions may be justified from a logical "for the greater good" perspective, but is nothing short of a psychopath to most humans. Also, they don't die when their soul gems break (as described in the opening sentence) but instead become insane abominations that have no other future than to be slain by future magical girls, and the circle repeats itself. My guess is, he probably doesn't tell them this beforehand because if he does, they tend to commit suicide before the necessary transformation and energy release happens. |
