the differences are easy to point out, Reading Rainbow is a TV show and as such legal can say "someone may buy the wrong product and take revenue from the old show" Stupid I know but that's how legal works.
Plus Square Enix is a japanese company so Legal rarely scheck overseas when it comes to individual products unless they plan to sell it there (So the episode may be renamed if it gets translated for japan) Plus there is the general consensus of borderline racism in legal grounds to not give a fuck about the legal rights of foreign companies. There is also the fact that despite their best efforts, Dragon Quest is nowhere near as popular in the west and could be easily overlooked |
