Rarity is my favourite.
Didn't like her at first (as most 'posh' people) but she steadily got better and better till she passed AJ. She is my favourite because she simply has more personality than any of the others. |

The first episode of ponies I ever saw was Bridle Gossip
This was back when I was skeptical and couldn't understand why all my guy friends were into this show (like many a person before they succumbed to bronyitus). My favorite I think was RD back then (its hard to remember, lol) She's still pretty high on my list though. |

I haaated Pinkie. I thought she was annoying and her singing was dumb and just grating on every nerve. Used to tap my head with 'shut up shut up shut up'.
Now... I don't know what happened. I'm not sure. Maybe it was after Party of One. But she grew on me. And now Smile smile smile is my favorite song. |

I honestly can't remember, at all, at that time I kept mixing Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie up, and I kept forgeting Applejack even existed. |

Yeah..I started with the Mare in the Moon episode and my favourite was AJ...That is, until Twilight started to steal the show, in my opinion, in many occassions. I still love AJ though, she's my second favourite. |

Yeah.. it took me a while to form any opinion on the characters I guess, so I guess I diddn't really think anything of the characters for awhile. Now my three favorite characters are Pinkie, Rainbow and Twilight, with Pinkie being my absolute favorite and Dashie and Twilight stuck in second, I really can't decide which of those two I like better |

Rarity is my fave pony.
First episode I saw was A Dog and Pony Show. I didn't even knew who the main characters were at the time so got the impression Spike and Rarity were the main characters. |

Of the mane six, I thought Twilight was the most interesting; nothing much had been revealed about the others (although Rarity has since put herself in my top spot). I was watching all of the episodes in order and at that point I still needing convincing that this wasn't just some sappy show for girls.
It took a good few episodes before I thought any of them were cooler than Nightmare Moon. |

First eps I saw were Feeling Pinkie Keen and Sonic Rainboom.
Needless to say, I didn't have a particularly high opinion of Rarity. But she really grew on me and eventually I realized that I really connected with her personality. As for Pinkie, my other fave, I had a moment when I saw Griffon the Brush Off, where I felt just like Dash: "You're not as annoying as I thought!" Really, though, I love them all. The show wouldn't be complete if any of them were missing. |

From the first episode, I liked Rarity a little more than anyone but Pinkie, mostly because of her color scheme and voice (and I sincerely really liked her mane), then I saw the second episode and her scene cemented her favourite pony status for me. |

I've gone through a lot of changes in opinion since I've first started.
I was all about Fluttershy, hated Rarity, and brushed off Twilight. The other three weren't important to me. At this point, sadly, Fluttershy is at the bottom of my list. Twilight has proved herself as a force to be reckoned with. Completely turned around on Rarity as I like her a lot now. Rainbow dash has continued to be more awesome. Pinkie was annoying at first but pulled me in more-- after this last episode she's fighting hard for best-pony status. Applejack won me over for no certain reason that I can think of but any other pony is going to have to share the #1 spot. She'll always be best to me, no matter what. |

I've always liked Rarity the most with Twilight Sparkle second--they have the most developed personalities and their problems are easy to relate to. The first episode I saw was Feeling Pinkie Keen; I thought it was dumb, abandoned any notion of watching the show, then gave it another shot a few months later, starting from the beginning this time, which is what I should have done in the first place.
The second season has wildly messed with my opinion of Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. Dash started out as my third favorite but her stock has been falling due to her "Rainbow Douche" behavior in a few episodes. Pinkie Pie's stock was steadily rising throughout the season and I was actually starting to like her until this last episode--I can't stand relentlessly cheerful busybodies with no self-restraint who think they have to stick their nose into everything and this episode was just too much for me. |

Unlike a lot of shows, it's actually hard for me to choose. All the characters are so well-developed and likeable, I even like the one I consider the most dull (Applejack) quite a bit.
But the first thing out of my mouth when asked "best pony?", my instinctive gut reaction, is Pinkie Pie. Yeah, her traits (or similar ones) in a human would probably be aggravating. But unlike a real-life busybody, she has no ulterior motive for what she does, and her purpose is simply to make other people happy, and I can't object to that. She's also downright adorable in a silly, ditzy, random way that I've always found charming in real life. And 'Party of One' gave her character more depth, indicating that she really does have more going on than might appear at first glance. During S1, Rainbow would've been #2, but even though I still like her (and still mostly ship her with Pinkie), I don't quite her now quite as much as I did last season. Twilight and Rarity have moved up to kind of tie for 2nd, and Rainbow follows them. |

Oh, hmm.
Twi, I think, being the fellow nerd and Skeptic. I think, for the sake of the thought exercise, if I were to go to Equestria: Dash, I don't think we'd have enough in common. Not that I dislike her, but I don't see us doing much together. Fluttersy, liek me, is really quiet and reserved in person, so if we do like eachother, we might be too nervous to interact. I'd like Pinkie, just because she'd work to see me smile, and that'd be special to me. |

I thought i'd like fluttershy the most after seeing her crazy love me images. Of course the thing with her is that with her soothing voice and kind personality is just the thing to come home for. Not only that but she seems braver than you'd expect. I must admit, when she's scared diving into a corner or otherwise it's quite amusing. It might be different in real life but i'm not that bothered.
Thing is after seeing the show, i can't pick a favourite. All of them are so fun to watch it's hard too choose, even the kids are likable and i don't say that often. So yeah, would have been fluttershy, ends up being all of them. Including the princesses. |

Well the first episodes were Twilight's. So of course she was the most attention catching. They have fleshed out the rest of the cast more isnce then.
Spike also stood out. In G1 he's almost the Scrappy Do as TvTropes would put it, you don't get a sense that he's needed. But Mare in teh Moon would be a massively different episode if he wasn't there. |
