Ponies and their mouth-grabbing makes soooo many out of context moments look dirty. |

@anon248 Delicious AND nutritious |

And that's another thing.
Society for non-unicorns must be incredibly unhealthy. Like, ponies use their mouths to do everything. Roseluck grabbed a flower with her mouth and threw it to Pinkie, who caught it in her mouth. And ate it. |

The clopfics continue their advance into canon. |

@Jackarunda
Their immune system is probably already used to that kind of stuff. Like farm people that cut themselves all the time and never get infections. |

Yeah I'd figure'd that'd be an argument. I mean, horses eat random shit in the wild and they're fine, it's just that now they're like humans in society so it seems weird.
I mean, lol, can you imagine how many deaths we'd have within the first month if people started using doorhandles and buttons n things with their mouths |
| badinfluence #1036423 4 months ago |
^but that would be because we don't do it on a regular basis right from the start.
If they've been using their mouths to do everything from the beginning they'd be adapted to it. |

Ponibooru, enjoy the thrills of discussing the usage of mouths in place of hands! |

Spike: Yeah.... that's the spot. Bite harder! |

Using the toilet would be a pain, but at least earth ponies can use their hooves for that. |

There's a theory that the major reason for kissing is to prepare the immune system for herpes with small amounts of exposure, so that an immunity is built up, reducing the risk of getting herpes, such as during sex (herpes would cause a miscarriage).
Ponies certainly seem to only expose each other to small amounts of saliva, so it does seam reasonable that unless something extremely contagious and dangerous comes around, they're better off. By the way, human hands are downright covered in germs unless you wash them ridiculously often, and most people don't think twice about touching anywhere on their face. Add on top of that the fact that common etiquette involves sneezing/coughing directly onto your hand (arm is faaaaar better, but leave it to society to not be logical). |
