Mmmm, that would probably play some part in it, but I think it also neglects social aspects and the fact that these ponies have human-like personalities which are also desirable (Fluttershy's meek and kind personality, Twilight's adorkableness, etc.). Then again, that's probably omitted for clarification and for more general explanation of the phenomenon. |
