Most large costumes with poor venting generally have a fan or two built inside of them. Think of, say, the fans they have that you place into a full head paintball helmet, if you've ever worn one. It's pretty much a requirement for any thick suit with any kind of environmental heat or a lot of energy exertion. |

From what I've been told by a friend into costume design, they are. If you have to be near suiters, for god's sake, don't be near dancing ones. They tend to smell like bacon grease and sweat for that reason. |
