Celestia realizes that the Cake twins are too powerful and would pose a threat to the entire world as adults. She sentences the babies to death, but spares them at the last minute and instead banishes them from Equestria. Not only do they come back as adults and wreck everybody's shit, but they do so through time-travel, and Twilight and the others have to travel back in time themselves to console the twins as adolescents, which turns them nice and not as powerful. Still very powerful, but not as powerful. |
