Because Pinkie has poofy hair. Flat-hair/Pinkamena was the result of a mental breakdown, don't forget that. She was thinking she had lost her closest and very best friends after all. She can't be like that for every little problem, even if she's sad or down. Pinkamena is an extreme after all. I love Pinkamena, but I think the fandom makes Pinkie far too sensitive in many comics/fanfics, so that Pinkie turns into Pinkamena at the drop of a hat. :/ It's like Luna becoming Nightmare Moon over every little thing that upsets her. But it would have been nice to see Pinkamena in that shot, I wouldn't object to that :D Just my humble opinion in the end of course. |

Is it weird of me to say that I enjoyed the song just for that scene?
As if to say even she isn't happy all the time but she never lets it get her down thanks to her own positive attitude and her smiling friends. The only reason she had a breakdown was BECAUSE she thought her own friends were turning against her or no longer loved her back. |
