I think the helmet being too big for soldier spike is as cute as fluttershy being a caring medic.

Spike doesn't really fit to this team. I would put Pinkie Pie as Soldier, because both characters have spoken about cupcakes and Derpy Hooves as Pyro, because Derpy is more unknown than Pinkie, and by the way Derpy is some times more weird than Pinkie. |
