I wonder how often Derpy hurt Dinky by accident.
She hurts ponies all the time in the show, so Dinky probably suffers a lot. |

Whoa there, Anon892. Where did this crap come from. Okay, yes, Ditzy can be accident prone like in "Last Round Up". However, she's not a menace to society. Also she would never hurt Dinky. She would protect her and take it all herself. That's the type of mother she is.

#1026034 What about Twilight then? Look Derpy had like three major scenes. In one she hurt Twilight and broke a bunch of stuff, in second she pull the plug thing for no reason, and in the last one she hurt Rainbow and destroyed a building.
Remember how much troubles Pinkie had with the Cakes? And Pinkie is less destructive then Derpy. There are no reasons to think that Derpy will be a good mother. |

#1026308 I have a friend who was raised solely by his dad. His dad is batshit insane, and I've met him. He wears a tinfoil hat everywhere with all the doors in his house covered in it, is the most forgetful person I've ever met, and once confused me with another friend of mine, who is almost twice my size.
Yet, regardless of how seemingly mentally unstable this man is, he still raised my friend well, and holds down a good job. They love eachother, regardless of the issues his dad might have. Just because someone appears to be incapable, doesn't mean they are. What you say is almost insulting to me. |

#1026345 First of all I don't intend to insult anyone. Let's not compare real people with drawn ponies, ok? I doubt that Derpy can serve as example of real life mental or any other problems. She is just a destructive comic character.
For example imagine someone wrote fanfic in which Snips and Snails are Rainbow Dash's parents and taught her to fly. Does it make any sense? Of course not. Does it make anyone who doesn't like this idea offensive troll? I don't think so, but it seems that I am minority here. For me this pairing just doesn't make sense. I don't think that character who can destroy buildings by sitting and doing nothing is capable of babysitting. I think the ages don't match. I think the reasons why Sparkler (or Amethyst Star) is not Dinky's sister are kind of weak. I think Dinky can have a better characterization than just be a plot element for Derpy For crying out loud, Dinky and Derpy don't even seen together that often (I personally don't noticed them together in the show, but may be I am wrong). The only argument for their relations are their similar hair color. But apparently I am the troll, who insults everyone. What kind of sense does this make? |
