Yes, Clover, but they're usually broken inside. The ones that are gently handled are sent to department stores, barista coffee shops, and other expensive places. I don't think any general U.S. store will pick up any European chocolate, as they are pretty much Hershey's and Mars' territory. Fanciest is Lindt and Ghiardelli's.
If Macy's were to pick up this candy, I'd shop there a little more often... |

Wheezie: Oh yeah. I forgot the fancy brands do chickens as well. I am more used to seeing the Lindt rabbits. Vadeboncoeur isn't European, they are in Quebec and the dollar store chickens (little hens on baskets) are aren't a special deal. They are about 3 inches tall, you get 2 unbroken ones for a buck and the quality is about right for that. Good, but not excellent. Never tried anything from the Freddo line but I assume it's the same. |
