Okay everypony! Story time!
For years, Fluttershy lived on the edge of the everfree forest, unaware of how it managed to maintain itself. What she didn't know is that it was home to a forest spirit who kept things running smoothly. This particular spirit was rather lonely and he wanted a wife. One day he saw Futtershy on the edge of the forest and decided that she would be his bride. Naturally, she wouldn't go willingly so he had to kidnap her and keep anypony from entering the everfree forest to rescue her. What he didn't count on was that the local mailmare Derpy Hooves used the everfree forest to deliver messages from Ponyville to Phillydelphia. When the mail piled up Derpy had no choice but to try and appease the spirit and let her pass through safely to deliver the letters. While there, Derpy found Fluttershy, who had been missing for weeks. They hatched a plan to help Fluttershy escape. The spirit was surprised to find out that the next day, Derpy had a package addressed to him. Inside the package was Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Twilight Sparkle and Rarity. While Pinkie Pie, Applejack and Rainbow Dash held the spirit's attention with an entertaining wild west show, Rarity and Twilight Sparkle freed Fluttershy and smuggled her into the box they had arrived in. When the other three finished their act, everyone hopped back into the box and Derpy flew them back to Ponyville. With Fluttershy missing, the spirit became enraged and threatened to destroy ponyville. Fortunately, Deus ex Machina Princess Celestia showed up and ordered the spirit to stand down and leave Fluttershy alone for the rest of eternity. Fluttershy ended up moving as far away from the Everfree forest as she possibly could, and everypony else lived happily ever after. |
