If we only get two seasons, I'll be more than happy with what we have. It's almost unheard of for modern non-action cartoons to run more than 3 seasons, so by comparison, it's doing pretty good so far. |

They're not going to cancel the show because of us. But I'm not sure they'll do much outside the show itself that is FOR us, either.
Hasbro internally divides its toy-related brands into divisions that consist, among others, of "boys toys" and "girls toys". MLP of course is under girls toys. So the brand has been under the control of people who have spent their entire corporate lives marketing only to little girls. They literally have no idea how or what to market to adult bronies. The move to hire a new person specifically to handle MLP, shows that they *want* to take advantage of our interest (obession? heh) in their show, but I am not sure that they'll be able to change their approach to MLP, as an intellectual property, to really produce products that we'd be more than happy to acquire. And that's way too much thinking for a picture board. Sorry, got carried away. :) |
