I personally don't hate Blueblood. I think he's a snob and spoiled, but I think the main reason he treated Rarity the way he did was because he knew she was only after him because he was a Prince, which is the truth. Flim and Flam are the ponies I really hate. Not only were they enormous jerks, but they tried to kick a family out of their home just to make money. I would like to see more hate art of Flim and Flam. |

I've read good Blueblood redemption fics. There was one in particular where he explained to everyone that he acted like that at the gala simply to keep gold digging mares away.
I love Trixie because she just has an ego, that's natural. Blueblood is trickier because he's royalty and that usually comes with preconceived notions of proper and gentlemanly behavior. He didn't follow those notions, therefore, he was typecast as a royal douche. But in my book anyone can be redeemed. And yes, sadly, even Gilda can be changed. Either with a well written fanfic or a more canonical approach. Bottom line, I'm with Whirly on this. I like em both. Nopony's perfect after all. |
