Generic over-the-eye faggot hair. And the eye is way too large and almond shaped. If the hair wasn't blocking the other (which is a cheap shot used by artists who lack skill and symmetry), the other eye would overlap the bridge of the muzzle and the eyes would be angled into eachother awkwardly. |

When I first looked at the picture from Raikoh, I fell in love with it. I already have it as a wallpaper on my smartphones and my 2 computers. The only flaws I didn't like about the original picture, was the resolution, and the color of derpy. So I made her a little darker and made the resolution bigger without looking uglier. |

^^ Nah, it'd fit. The eyes in the actual show are almost the exact same size in proportion to the head, only with much larger pupils. I think that's what weirded you out, not that I find this horrifying at all. Now, trying to imagine it with both eyes visible and derped, on the other hand... THAT makes my brain hurt a bit. |

Individually, the elements of this image are amazing, except for that singular, nightmarish (no pun intended), cycloptic eye.
However, it just doesn't fit together and it looks altogether alien. Moreover, looking at the shape of her head, the weirdly short snout, and that creepy eye especially, I can't help but think that she looks like a Grey (the alien with the big head) wearing a blonde wig. in other words, Roger Smith (from American Dad) doing an mlp cosplay xP You just know he'd do derpy, and you just KNOW he'd go for the sexy over the shoulder look. Anyway, beautiful technique, but poor execution overall. |

@793: What you seem to be failing to understand is that the vast majority of fans *didn't* bitch. It's been a vocal minority from the start, and there was also a huge outpouring of gratitude and appreciation when Derpy was first canonized. So no, we didn't "deserve" it. Strictly speaking, we didn't "deserve" to have the nod from the Hub in the first place, but it was a nice thing for them to do, and it's unfortunate to see them (or whoever made the call to change her eyes and voice) cave under the pressure. Spewing hate and bile at an entire large group, most of whom didn't have anything to do with the situation, is only going to make the shitstorm worse.
That's not to say that several fans aren't reacting badly to this most recent change. They are, and people need to chill out a bit and get some perspective. But so do you. So, for what it's worth, here's what I'm going to do; I'm going to make sure I have my copy of the original version of The Last Roundup saved. I'm going to sign the petition at savederpy.com to help it be evident that a huge number of fans were fine with Derpy as she was. And then I am going to relax, chill out, go on with my life, and avoid adding more fuel to the fire. And on those occasions, such as now, when I decide that I should add to the discussion, I am going to keep it calm and respectful. I recommend everyone else do the same. |

One day the oven was broken and Dinky decided to try to fix it. She had been tinkering with things around the house for a long time before this, and she jumped at the chance to do something worthwhile with her slowly developing skill.
>ONE HOUR LATER< she unsuccessfully worked at the problem after about an hour. She thought to her self for a moment, analyzing the interior of the cold dark oven. She started messing around with the pilot light. suddenly the oven roared to life, it had gone into self cleaning mode. She couldn't feel it at first but soon the inside of the oven became warm. Dinky quickly started pushing at the oven door with her front hooves but the little filly realized she simply didn't have the strength to push the heavy door open. Soon, the oven's insides had become an inferno. Before long her hooves became singed and she could smell her mane being burned to the roots. Dinky cried in agony as the heat increased, hot pain engulfing her. The oven continued to roast her to death. when the oven had finally finished she was burnt crisp to the bone, covered in boiled fat and caked blood, she would never get her Engineering Cutie Mark. BECAUSE SHE WAS DEAD. >SEVERAL HOURS LATER< Derpy had come home after a long day's work and was ready for hugs from her most favorite filly in all of Equsetria. As she opened the door to her home, she could smell what was a mixture of smoke and something horrible like rotten fruit. She quickly ran into the kitchen to the source of the foul odor. The grey pony saw that it was coming from the oven. She lowered the oven door with her left hoof. Her crossed eyes widened and her mouth opened agape, tears rolled down her face. Derpy was more distraught than she had ever been in her entire life. THE END |
