DF doesn't support direct player-intervened building of dungeons. Minecraft does, but I'm not sure how to implement ceiling crocodiles in that...

Is it normal that I fly into a fit of annoyed exhaustion anytime someone mentions Dwarf Fortress?

Yeah, DF's a fuckfest. If it was open source it'd be decent- somepony could fix Toady's many, many mistakes- but noooo, he has to go full sperge on us.

Seriously, have you read the devlog versus what his players actually want? He gives absolutely no fucks on simple things like balance and not having infinite blood spilling every fucking where. He's just piling on features. While it makes for hilarious combat logs and insane lulzy playthroughs, it's just not a very good game.

Minecraft can make a visually realistic temple, but not the traps.

Dwarf fortress can make jarringly accurate traps AND architecture (you cant really "see" the architecture though).

Someone even planned out the all the traps.

@Anon3443 Longer than Minecraft, which is saying something.
