Jesus wept, I can imagine that the horn would be decidedly lacking in sensation, but given that the Horns of the Unicorns in Equastria are the same colour as they are, I would assume their horns are covered in skin.
Which makes this picture decidedly creepy. |

^I think you are overthinking this... But what you say has truth... Maybe their skeletons are the same colour as their skin? And since the horn is a bone... Problem solved. |
