not enough to say B2C, this guy is probably working on these alone, by himself, it isn't very easy top remember how stuff should be balanced when you are juggling a few hundred cards at once.

I posted it for opinions. Really, this is just a preliminary attempt.

For instance, I realize I need to give people a reason to Transform "Greed-Grown Dragon" back into "Spike."

Some of these cards are much more balanced than others. Your Discord, for example, is waaaaaaaay more balanced than the other Discord, but your Twilight Sparkle that lets you do a Demonic Tutor every round, and as an instant? Hahahahaha, you slay me.

The best way to make a set of cards is to intend for it to be drafted. Too much multicolor; Many named creatures aren't legends, many costs are wrong. I could do a card-by-card critique if you'd like.

And I just realized I forgot to give Twilight and Rarity Power and Toughness.

>.< D'oh! (preliminary P/T has become 3/4 and 4/4, respectively)

And as a note, I'm going to try (really really hard) to make this into a three-set block ending with "Mirrodin Restored." (Essentially, Nightmare Moon was caused by Phyrexia, and it takes the Elements to completely eliminate them)

Oh wow, the Elements of Harmony let you draw a card for two mana...

What IS it with these homemade cards and card economy? They discovered back in fricking Alpha that 1 card is worth a hell of a lot more than 1 damage! *cough*Ancestral Recall *cough*

I swear I want to build a control deck with these just to prove my point :\

Lyra, Noteworthy, Bon-Bon and Leeroy Wingkins have no reason to cost the way they do, a 2/2 vanilla creature never cost double mana, and I feel that you can be more creative with these (except Wingkins, he works, although he should cost 1R IMO).
Big Mac, he works, simple persona, big and strong, green trampler indeed.
allthough you could make him a 4/4 Trampler for 2GG instead, in order to play him quicker.

I had to cue up episode one, screenshot the opening, copy the head off the book, then work with a super-simplified editing sub-program-thing in the program I'm using (Magic Set Editor) to get that symbol.

Zoomed in it looks terrible.

General: Adding a 'Pony' creature type is a little weird; you generally want to add as little as possible. Conserve design space and all that. I personally don't like crossing it with Magic's lore, since you're already crossing it with the game as a game it comes across as a little ham-fisted.
Twilight: Why white? Her abilities are redundant; why scry when you could search. 'library' should be lower case.
Lyra: Too efficient for a blue creature. UU in a multicolor set really screws up draft.
Spike: 'End of turn' should be lower case. Minion is a black creature tribe. It should also read "At the beginning of your upkeep, if ~ has four or more Equipment attached to it, you may transform it." I'd make the transform non-optional and replace attacks if able with "At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice a land."
PP: It's 'nontoken'. 'Transform' should be lowercase.
AJ: Nopony wants to tap a beater. Turn 5 accel is silly as well. Compare Primeval Titan
RBD: Why black? You did this elsewhere too, but the keywords shouldn't be capitalized. (Except at the beginning of a line, obviously)

Yeah I know.

I think the "Princess Celestia doesn't untap during your next untap step" on her ability makes the ability slightly underpowered, but the card itself... it's an 8/8 with flying for 6 mana, a slightly useful special ability, and no upkeep.

Black is, as stated in multiple mtg sites, the colour for ambition and selfishness (essentially). Therefore, with Rainbow's big goal, she'd have some Black to her.

Though, now that I think of it, that is a little off.

The colours I picked were primarily to try and match their personalities to colours.

adding a pony creature type is indeed weird, I only do it because I am working on a humor set.
using their real names also feels weird imo, since you are making cards based of the ponies. but I guess that is different from person to person.

Actually, never mind. I know what the Princess is good for. She's not for exiling your opponent's creatures- she's for protecting your own.

Having the Princess sending Derpy TO THE MOOOOOOONAAAAA in response to a Lightning Bolt is funny shit.

The colors of Magic are a terrible narrative device. Trying to make them work as indicators of personality, other than a broad strokes approach, is a mistake.

@B2C
yeah, they have made Blue Zombies for an example, and there isn't really anything blue about them.
find inspiration in what the developers have done in previous sets, like Ravnica, or Lorwyn/Shadowmoor.
Those sets really play around with color identities.

I'm editing in response to your comments. Currently, Rarity and Twi are now pure Blue, Fluttershy's gone White, AJ's Green and lost her land-search ability, and Rainbow no longer has any Black to her.

Also, I've dropped "Pony" and made the Earth Ponies into "Horse" type creatures.

TS: No power/toughness.

Spike: The requirements to transform are creative, but I don't see a point to transform him back. Also, why does he need to attack each turn? He should be all red, and his transformed firebreathing should be much stronger. Having three equipments on him is no easy task so his transform should be capable of winning the game if you manage to flip.

PP: Maybe make it two tokens, being 1/1s (changing the flip-back rule to two).

AJ: Ever consider making her three-mana 2/2 with "green, tap: search your library for a basic land hard and put it into played tapped."?

RD: Very creative. I like!

Rarity: Should be put into play, and for just "X, tap". Also, no p/t.

Fluttershy: Her tap effect is too situational to be useful. She already prevents all damage, so make her a 0/2 or a 0/1 for four (with flying, she IS a pegasus after all), and maybe give her W, T: tap or untap target creature."

DH: Creative as well, but maybe make her work like so: When Derpy Hooves enters play, you may destroy target artifact or enchantment."

PL: Without a way to put counters on her, she's never going to transform. Perhaps: B: Put a -1/-1 counter on Princess Luna and target creature.
Then, on flip side: Whenever Nightmare Moon deals combat damage to a player, remove all -1/-1 counters from her, then transform her (maybe also make her an 8/8, so that she's a 5/5 when transformed).

EoH: The prevent 1 damage is not good enough for the cast. Make it just W or 2 to you only.
Card draw for 1U is WAY too good. Make it 2UU or make it 1U: Target creature gains flying until end of turn.

PC: That ability sucks, and she's too strong. Make her a 5/5 flyer for 7 or 8 and have her ability something like: R: Princess Celestia deals 1 damage to target creature or player. W: You gain 1 life.

DW: ummm what? Ridiculous! Just give him G: Regenerate Doctor Whooves. If you want something other than a Cudgel Troll, then make it: G, T: Regenerate target creature other than Doctor Whooves.

Parasprite is one of my favorite, but a bit too good for it's cost. Make it 2GG for such an ability.

Discord is only good for attacking. Those abilities are pretty subpar in comparison. Try: 1: target creature loses all abilities until end of turn. 3: Discord gains all abilities of target creature until end of turn. Also make him 4BBRR.

Cutie Pox: An enchantment that will only collect dust in your collections box for being so shitty. Try a 1B enchantment with: At the beginning of the next end step, put a -1/-1 counter on target creature. If that creature is put into a graveyard from play this way, attach Cutie Pox to another creature he or she controls."

Thanks for the tips, DarkJester. I've already implemented a few of the changes suggested, but I figure it would be too much trouble to re-post these as they've become plus all the ones I've made after these.

So I'm going to post them on my deviantart page shadic-x-hedgehog.deviantart.com. It might be a while before they appear, though.

Lots of overcapitalization and unneccessary breaks. Look at actual cards and get a good feel for how they write them. Also note that references to "into play" should be changed to "onto the battlefield."

I said it to someone else: as much as I like Scry, I just don't see twilight Sparkle ever putting anything off.

Spike is a creature, so it is an it, not a him.

Best transforming Pinkie/Pinkamena card I've ever seen.

Rainbow Dash is great too.

Rarity is what the Stoneforge Mystic should have been.

Fluttershy should read "if you win," not "if the result is heads." Again, a great job of capturing her flavor.

Yay Tribal!

Princess Luna should read "At the beginning of each end step, if Princess Luna..."

A 10/10 flying intimidating infecter is too overpowered (says the person who sees Big Mac as a 21/21 trampler just because his name starts with "Big").

I'd have to see a full set to make a comment about Elements of Harmony. If it was in Scars block I'd say the 10CMC ability was worth it. In any given set, not worth it. I can get a 10/10 with protection from anything or make you lose the game for WWUUBBRRGG. I can get rid of infect for 1G.

I have this urge to say Break of Dawn should destroy all vampires too.

Doctor Hooves should read "Regenerate Doctor Whooves." Great mechanic though. Just hope you've got a D12.

Noteworthy is the best flavor text since Steamflogger Boss. Cutie Pox is the best flavor since Noteworthy (I see gaining cutie marks as Auras too, so I like the flavor).

I like making a Parasprite token. The only problem is that it should be green and have a cost of 1G.

personally think you should use the stain glass / in world art of ponies, pegasi, and unicorns to represent them in tokens. just to differentiate from any living on-screen ponies which have most likely all been named.
