Honestly, some of my favorite moments of Season 2 were the couple of times that Celly was able to cut loose with her personality (S2E1 in particular). |

That isn't too much to ask, is it? Hell, Celestia is one of the first characters mentioned, and is a very important character overall. A Celestia episode is long overdue, as is a Scootaloo spotlight. Shit, put em both together. |

I've been saying that for ages. Not only would it be amazing to see Celestia in her day to day, and how that would silence those stupid Molestia-Trollestia etc. memes, it would also give amazing insight into the way Equestria works on every level, AND it would let Hasbro sell a new castle playset. Its win win win freaking win. |

I don't know that it necessarily has to be a mother figure. She's more of a deity figure. I mean she raises the freaking sun every day, everyone worships her and she's immortal. They don't really give her much exposure because it's necessary to keep her distant for that appearance to remain. If we learned too much about Celestia outside of her capacity as a ruler it would shorten the distance between her and the plain ponyfolk. A Celestia Episode would definitely make a good episode, but it would play havoc with a lot of the character dynamics that are really necessary for the show to work overall. |

Yeah, but that very "she has to be distant" theme would make for great characterization fodder. How cruel is it that the pony whose love is greatest cannot experience love in return, for fear of "ruining her image"? All sorts of moral hijinks could be pulled here. She may be the ruler of Equestria and the goddess of the sun, but she's still a pony. |
