Fluttershy is older than her as well, but she's still in her prime compared to the others. Macintosh could easily be that big by genetics and training.
I don't think age has much of a relevance in the pony world than it does here. |

In before that one guy on Deviantart that theorises Fluttershy is actually in the middle age-wise, and that the oldest mane 6 is really Applejack. (All because she calls Rarity "Kiddo" in one episode). |

-Cheerilee is in the same class as Rarity -Rarity and others (minus fluttershy) are all the same age -Big Macintosh is older than applejack Very simple. If Big Macintosh is older than applejack, which he very clearly is, he's also older than rarity, cheerilee, twilight, pinkie, rainbow dash, and possibly fluttershy. Anyway people seem to hear cheerilee's voice and personality and think "bubbly mother figure in her late 30s", but she's the same age as the rest of the main cast. |

Yeah, I've always thought that Fluttershy was actually fairly young, not as young as Pinkie or Dash, but not as old as say, Rarity. |
