If only! In my mind, if Friendship is Magic got a series of films, it would be like the Rebuild of Evangelion series, in which the original story is retold in a new fashion and with a new ending.
1st: Elements of Harmony (Friendship is Magic Remake) 2nd: Harmony and Chaos (Best Night Ever and Return of Harmony Remake) 3nd: Labyrinth of Time (It's About Time Remake) 4th: The Fate of Equestria (Grand Finale with True Villain) For example, I imagine the second film combining Best Night Ever and Return of Harmony with several differences; - Discord is sealed underneath Canterlot and awakens from the chaos at the Gala - Spike tags along with Twilight Sparkle to the maze and ends up getting hypnotised and transformed into Spikezilla by Discord - Twilight Sparkle begs her friends to stay and emotionally breaks down as she is discorded - Discord absorbs the Rainbow of Light and tries to use it against them ensuing a more epic final battle - Discord tries to destroy Twilight Sparkle and her friends before they can use the Elements of Harmony again, but he is interrupted by Princess Luna and Spike who help them defeat him As for the fourth and final film, I imagine it revealing the true villain behind everything from the reign of the Windigos to Discord's return and threatens to destroy all of Equestria if he is not defeated within 6 days. As each day passes, one of the Elements of Harmony and its bearer (e.g. Rarity and Generosity) disappears. The final battle between Twilight Sparkle and him ensues on the sixth and final day with the villain almost killing Twilight but, with the help of Discord, ultimately defeats him. |
