I have certain parts of this site favorited in little (label-less) icons in Chrome's favorites bar.

I just accidentally clicked on one for another website while trying to come back to the main page (I missed).

Damn, other websites are FAST.

Also, I think it's just coincidence that there are no pegasus parents. I don't think we can look for meta in things like this.

Cloudsdalean Pegasi don't raise their young - either they get sent to flight camp, or they get adopted by ponies from other towns

...damn, that's horrible, I'm sorry I came up with it

They're like birds. When they learn to fly out of their nest they fly away~

Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy come from Cloudsdale, so I assume their parents are chillin up there.

They'll probably get around to Scootaloos eventually.

...Maybe Pegasi don't live very long?
Fluttershy, no... ;_;

Ashamed that their children associate with earth pony scum, with the exception of scootaloo's parents, which, if indeed alive, could not care less?

Pegasi expect their children to survive on their own.

Oh. And I used that picture if just because I envision Rainbow Dash's dad like that.

Only older.

And with Kamina shades.

@mylittlellama

I heard a theory that pegasi live the shortest lives, akin to that of a hummingbird, and that they quickly wear themselves out (whereas Earth Ponies live the longest). I kind of liked that idea, but yeah, it's a depressing one...

I'd love to the see their parents though.

The real question I have is if Fluttershy's parents are as... well Fluttershy as she is.

Pegasi are like modernised Spartans, and send their children away at age seven to what used to be formalized military training camps with communal messes. These days they're more like boarding schools, of course. Pegasusususes no longer practice the krypteia and no longer send their kids down to murder earth pony helots each year.

For whatever reason, I think one of Scootaloo's parents is an Earth pony.
I really don't even know why.

@Heinous
maybe that's why she cant fly properly?

I want Fluttershy and Dash's parents to be the opposite of each other.
Like, Fluttershy's parents are real daredevils and Dash's are really cautious and suffocating.
And that's how they became friends.

Scootaloo left her family after her little sister Terry was born.

Pegasi are like certain species of spiders. They eat their parents shortly after foaling.

Scootaloo has only been shown in non-home environments. Her parents are just busy and have to work a lot.
Rainbow's parents probably live in Cloudsdale, where her father is the leader of their weather team, and her mother is a housewife.
Fluttershy's parents also live in Cloudsdale, where they run a veterinarian hospital for ariel creatures.

I'd be willing to bet Fluttershy's mom is a MILF, wherever she is, heh.

But seriously, though, I'd also like to see some of the Pegasi parents. You'd have thought we'd see Rainbow's parents in 'Sonic Rainboom', if indeed they do live in Cloudsdale, either cheering for her in the audience or at least a brief visit with them while she was in town.

I still consider Firefly to be Rainbow's mom. It just fits so well.

Pegasi are from a warrior race. It's still traditional to send their young out at an early age to make them strong.
