I don't get it, isn't that just a tire? |

It rubs the lotion on its skin, or else it gets the hose again! |

Unlikely, first, the Ponies were there for over a thousand years, second, if there was a nuclear war that wiped out humans and left a tire, the tire would be buried deeper than about 20 feet, it would most likely be far under the bedrock if that were true. I know I'm over analyzing this but come on, you guys over analyse things all the time, I should atleast be aloud to do so once. |

Why is there a tire in a society without cars? |

too much adventure time? |

This episode had video games too. Like this tire, they had no impact on the overall plot. I'm now being selective with my canon.
They said at first that Equestria was, for the most part, medieval in terms of technology, and that's what I'm sticking with. |

I am starting to go on the side of "I will selectively accept parts of the MLP FIM show that fits the best with the in my head canon"
I really loved how the first two eps were assembled, and they fit the best in the Equestria takes place in a medieval setting. Where there is more magic than there is technology. I was kind of ok with the train showing up in some of the episodes, it made no sense to me at all with ponies pulling it and steam coming from the engine with a conductor sitting in it... and that clip of Derpy dropping a package from a moving truck trailer thing... kinda didnt fit for me... I dunno. I am just trying to filter out the bits that don't fit for me, and enjoy the bits that do. |

moving truck carriage has specially made tires for when the pegasus land with a very heavy cargo. It seems ponies only advance in technology for very specific needs, otherwise they stick tried and true methods of building, and tools |

#1001824 Ponyville was founded while Granny smith was roughly Twilight Sparkle's age. That 'tire', being 5 strata deep, probably didnt come from a pony's vehicle. Im not a cartoon geologist, but I would say that tire far far outdates Celestia and Starswhirl the bearded |

Reality of things is that the animators are putting in more and more joke things.
I think its fun to think into stuff that pops up in the show... but I think for my sanity ill just ignore stuff that don't fit in how I like the show. Pegasus ponies keeping a moving trailer floating in the air and earth ponies pulling a steam train... things like that just don't fit into how I like the show... my head canon and stuff. Oya, and in my head canon, Derpy is mostly a normal pony. Clumsy and poor vision yes, but otherwise a normal pony. Oya and a mail mare to boot. |

what time is it? |

@670: Still the "human" hypothesis is ludicrous. It's actually amazing how many parallels there are to the ancient alien hypotheses, they really rely on the same fallacies.
We know that ponies can and do produce tires, so what makes an ancient human civilization any more likely than an ancient pony civilization that lived long before the current one? Also we have no idea how geology works in Equestria, we have no idea how long before Celestia's reign Equestria was founded. Hell, for all we know the tire or the stata could be the result of Discord's reign. |

I love how the boxes in that pic have finger-holes that are supposed to help you carry said box, except they'd be pointless for ponies. |

@Ping_chan
My reasoning is the train had a mechanical problem, so in a rush they used ponies to keep going rather than wait for a repair part. Maybe there was important cargo that would spoil or something. |
