@CogWeaver: It's basically the same as in this one, except it involves no love potion/poison. PPG get the Professor to fall in love with Ms. Keane, they fall in love; they get too focused on eachother that Townsville gets torn apart and then the Mayor tears them apart.

The thing is though, Lauren did not work on that episode of FiM (some slight consulting at best) and she only storyboarded (not wrote) the PPG episode. |

They are not that much similar if you try to find similarities between CMC and PPG. "Love potion/matchmaking ends up not well" is a very popular episode plot. |
