Her life must be so empty. Every day is almost exactly the same, and she has no real friends to speak of. To me, Celestia seems like a simple mare at heart that wants nothing more than to indulge in simple things and have a simple life, but she will never be able to live that humble dream because she is the sun goddess of Equestria. She is effectively trapped in her position of power forever. She's sacrificed almost everything for her little ponies.
You know, she was completely alone for a thousand years, and was probably almost never called by name. The fact that she's still sane and capable of forcing a smile speaks volumes of her character. But she's still painfully socially awkward. I think that ultimately, the friendship reports were meant for her since the beginning, because she just wants a friend. Man, what a poor creature. |

Really, as far as we know Discord would've been Celestia's best chance at falling in love or at least making a friend, and the guy is a sociopathic sick fuck. So she's pretty much doomed to be alone. That's fucking awful. Feels bad, pony. How cruel is it that the pony who's love is bigger than everyone else's cannot experience it in return? |
