It was intentional for none of the main characters to appear. Even Twilight could have been replaced by Zecora for the potion device.
Think about it this way. Twilight was all by herself carrying those large heavy books. Isn't that Spike's job so where was he at the time? And why was no one watching the Carousel Boutique? |
