I got the impression that Rarity was just annoyed that Spike was being annoying. Rarity completely shared Spikes enthusiasm ABOUT Ms. Shores, so I don't think that she was jealous/envious/whatever.
My first point still stands. Rarity loves being adored. |

^ Actually, when Spike changed his tone, Rarity said "A lady is never jealous" implying they were both on the same page.
It is, of course, untrue that a lady is never jealous because Rarity was jealous of Fluttershy's success in Green Isn't Your Color. |
