Grimlock would totally work quite well in MLP, as some crazy avatar of rage. He's all friendly with people but then he misunderstands typical turns of phrase and analogies and just goes apeshit for people 'lying' or 'trying to trick Grimlock'
and then celestia winds up with a new lawn ornament to keep Discord company. Then she has to come and repair it often because of the hilarious spirit-battles that go like Discord says something Grimlock agrees Discord says something riddly and entirely contrarian "Raahr stop talking, you make fun of Grimlock!" Discord makes an irreverent gesture and comment on the situation. "That it, me Grimlock mad now, me Grimlock will smash you to bits confusing talky statue!" but he can't because he's stone, so instead his spirit just fires gusts of magical rage around the garden instead, which Discord-spirit (and somehow his statue) both manage to dodge, every time. Celestia uses them to keep time, as it happens every hour. |
