Not once, in ten-plus years of playing the Pokémon games, have I seen a single shiny.
The Red Gyrados doesn't count. |

One time, I was playing Pearl version, I was in the safari zone just wandering around looking for pokemon that I didn't already have. Then bam! A shiny Hoothoot. I was like "damn!" So I looked online to see what strategies would work in the safari zone against one. Of course, that shit is all random. So I had to choose between "throw mud, throw food, throw ball." The wrong choice would cause the ultra rare bird to run away. So I threw a safari ball, set down my DS and walked away. It took me ten minutes to work up the courage to look back the screen and I was so overjoyed to see that I had caught it. That's my only experience. |

I've seen about three not counting Gy-Red-dos, and only caught one.

I once caught a shiny Misdreavus in Pearl. Named her Dreavy, and then evolved her into a cooler Mismagius. Also, my friend once gave me a shiny Arbok. |

Ive played all the poekomn games since they arrived in America and i cant remember and times I found a shiny, but in my recent game in White Version, i got the Pokerus.....twice. My Oshawott got it very early in the game, then a Glaceon i got in an online trade had it...very weird |
