Equestria paradox: the more time you spend in dark places the more your skin is darker (void/dark/shadow energy change your skin color herp derp)
Luna = banishment to the moon/princess of the night, Twilight = spend most time in library so she don't go outside, Zecora = she lives in Everfree Forest where is usually dark/or she is just zebra (zebra = Africa/Africa = dark skinned people) and no this wasn't suppose to be racist comment, sry if it look like that |

I think its more of a yin yag thing. Celestia being a calm sudtle one, while Luna is a large ham and makes a big show |

It seems to be more in reflection of their original colouration (similar to how Twilight humanisations are often drawn with dark skin), as well as working better with their hair colours. Personally, for humanisations I prefer dark skinned Celestia and light skinned Luna (for the contrast), but this is spectacular anyway. |

Yeah, I've grown accustomed to the whole "human Celestia = dark-skinned, human Luna = pale-skinned" bit. But whatever, I still love this. |
