"Octavia of the Tune Bearers was said to be one of the most, if not the most, beautiful of all the Ponyarchs. And she was without a doubt the most gifted in the art of music. She revered the God Empress greatly, and took it upon herself to spread the glory that was her leader to all corners of the universe with her music. Octavia herself was very cunning, and tried to avoid combat as much as possible. She was also very manipulative and could with her music sway the hearts of many a opposing foes. But that did not mean that she was could not fight. To behold Octavia on the battlefield was to know perfection, followed by a swift but elegant death. She preffered light armour and mounting her ranged weapon on her body, while playing and dancing around the battlefield in what could only be called a beautiful symphony of destruction. But her campaign was slow, because the Tune Bearers always stayed on a planet until their music had reached every inhabitant of the planet, and the God Empress felt displeased by this. After several warning to cease their musical activities, the God Empress ordered a task force composed of the Ultramaerines Legion and lead by their Ponyarch Twilight Sparkle and accompanied by a force of his elite personal bodyguards, the Legio Hoofstodes along with their Captain-General Spitfire and the Imperial Regent, to raze the capital city of the planet Melody, a world dear to the Tune Bearers. Following the city's destruction by the Ultramareines, the entire Tune Bearers Legion, 100,000 Space Mareines strong, were ordered to assemble on the planet's surface, within sight of the smoldering ruins of Melody's capital city, where its Ponystartes were humiliated and rebuked by the The God Empress herself, who psychically forced everyone, including Octavia, to kneel before her, and explained to them that they had failed both her and Ponykind. Octavia was stunned by her Empress' reproach and refusal to accept her music, and fell into a deep melancholy. It wasn't long after this that Octavia began hearing a different kind of music, a music originating from the far corners of the galaxy. Intrigued, she ordered her entire legion to follow the tunes. The wonderfully chaotic tunes of Discord."  |
