Even if I think Dash is happy with her body, I rather like the theme. There'd really need to be some good trans characters in shows. |

Its not far from the truth. Trying to pin down even a scrap of feminity within her is incredibly tough. The people she associates with beyond her closest friends are boys and, pardon the term, dykes. The very concept of her in a relationship with a guy is hard to imagine even though it would technically be straight.
Compared to so many ooc scenarios, Dash questioning being a girl stays mostly in character. |

Like what I said on the other picture, but a bit much briefer here: I could quite easily see her in a relation with a male, she'd just very likely be on top. Or are girls not allowed to do that/be assertive? I know I ramble to much or sound accusing when I'm tired, but buck it. There is no "demand" that you act like this or that. There is no requirement that you need to act like this or like that to qualify to be allowed to be a certain gender. It's all about whom you feel like you are. I break most of the "rules" and don't like much that is considered "feminine", and yet I consider myself to be a female.
I don't fit as a "genetic, expected female", but am I one, as said: There's more then one way to be a girl. And do keep in mind, Equestria is a matriarchy, not a patriarchy. Quite a few things you might consider "manly" might fully possibly be "feminine" there. Just like dresses and horses were once very manly, they are now incredibly feminine things generally. And I'm not saying Dash couldn't be trans, I'm just saying it's not a "logical conclusion". Faust herself even stated so. (both "There's more then one way to be a girl" and "There is plenty of straight tomboys") I wish I was less tired so I could make more sense, but I want to try still. |
