I dare say they're the most successful crack pairing ever conceived. Are they ever even in the same scene together? And yet, pretty much a year later and they're still shipped pretty much only with each other. That's the very essence of OTP. In the hearts and minds of all bronies, Vinyl and Octavia simply are.
Fluttermac existed nearly as long, but it was a boring ship that I will not miss. I would probably be a little upset if the same thing happened to Vinyl Scratch, simply because they just work. Ship foils! Always ship foils. |

This reminds me I need to look up any Vinyl x Octavia fics that aren't Allegrazza.
I liked that one. Especially the characterization. Like Vinyl needing her shades on just because she's so expressive with her red eyes. The only way she can even attempt to keep her emotions a secret from others. |

Even though I will respect others opinions for the most part, I have to say, this is definitively my least favorite shipping out of all of them.
I don't know why, I guess I feel that they're a very "What if Deadmau5 fell in love with Beethoven" shipping. |

They work because their respective character archetypes, paired together, work as amazing foils. Yeah, neither get any characterization in the show, but their archetypes speak for themselves. |

Yeah, but Lyra and Bonbon are almost always in the same scene together. Bonbon is usually alone, but Lyra is almost always seen at her side if she's in the same scene. |
