^^Anon, why don't you do a search of "Fluttermac", "Cheerimac", etc. Several of the results will be examples of Fluttermac shippers who are not only rude, but also bash Cheerilee, the writers, and go to extreme levels of saying they will no longer watch the show or accept this as canon.
Some have even made threats. |

I hate crazy fluttermac fans too, but guess what? Shipping: making people act like total cunts. Both sides. I mean, seriously, bashing everything, not accepting things in the show as canon? Making Fluttershy into a jelous ass? MAKING THREATS? Not like the cheeriemac supporters are without fault either; forbidding people to ship things, because "it's not canon", suddenly hating fluttermac just because it exists; treating it like the crackiest of ships, even though it makes just as much sense as the other popular shippings.
But you know what? I'm REALLY glad that what I just described is just the vocal minority, who can't let other people ship who they want to ship. Most people just let others be. You like cheeriemac? More power to you. You like fluttermac? Good for you. You like ANY OTHER SHIP? AWESOME. Then ship it. ^I know one person on tumblr said she'd jump out her window (might have just been being a drama whore), but on DA someone went so far as to cut her wrists and make an entire journal about threatening to commit suicide and sent the note and tape to Hasbro if they went on with the episode.
At least that's what a few people on DA are saying, apparently she deleted the journal. I don't know if it was for real. |

Okay, so, the current situation is:
-Vocal, rabid fluttermac shippers complaining/threatening to stop watching the show because of cheeriemac (minority) -Vocal, rabid cheeriemac fans complaining about ALL fluttermac fans/forbidding them to ship what they want to ship (also minority) -Normal fluttermac shippers/normal cheeriemac shippers who would love for both sides of rabid fans to just shut up already (most people... I hope). |
