I wouldn't think time travelling, but maybe just a general flash-forward for the future state of Equestria.
I mean, we've had a bunch of flash backs, so it couldn't hurt to do a flash-forward ep. Although if they did to a flash-forward and we saw an adult Sweetie Belle, we'd see what cutie mark she would have in the future |

Its just recycled flash assets. Its easier that way.
In fact, since its flash, the ponies assets were most likely only made once, gets passed down to the flash animators and they just drag and drop them to the stage. |
