...What the Hell? Things are fine the way they are. What's with this "anime-fying" pish-tosh this whack's going on about?

Yep, right on the money. Didn't want to sound too negative before, but this is getting really annoying. What is with you people and generic anime themes?

Because the japanese side of hasbro tends to exagerate stuff so the nippons feel well with it, after all, they are like that.

Because American hearts are corroded by Discord, and much needs to be done before they can be expected to appreciate such glorious music.

The Italian one was cool, but I like the American one too and feel it better fits the tone of most episodes.

Also, sometimes American things are better. Not very often, but sometimes. I believe OUR version of My Little Pony is better in every way. Of course, that is just my opinion, hopefully someone else shares the same beliefs.

Like I said, leave things as they are. Anime-fying everything isn't going to make things all that better, if at all. As things are, I can say that some Western Animation shows by themselves are oodles better than some popular Japanese Anime, I can attest to this, following every seasonal schedule additions. Japan only churns out two genres in the truckload these days: fanservice and comedy.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with anime. Try listing one legitimate reason why its bad. You can't do it.

Hey, calm down brony. There's nothing wrong with being nice. You gotta share, you gotta care. I'm positive you've heard that before. Besides, the foreign versions may have some nice songs, their voice actors aren't anywhere near as awesome as the talent we have in our version. Our voice actors is what makes friendship is magic what it is, and no other version has anything on our version besides different song voices. Either way, its fun to see giggle at the ghosties in Italian or listen to flutterguy sing evil enchantress in French. So, calm down and enjoy it. No other version will be as good as the original my little pony friendship is magic, because it is what it is because of what happened here, surely you can see that.

Ok, here's the thing.
Hasbro put MLP FiM in the Hub their own channel, based on marketing research they put the intro and other things.

Hasbro also sells MLP FiM to other channels in other countries, those channels are totally free to change the intro or credits music.

So yes Hasbro doesn't give anything.

The Japanese opening of Transformers: Animated isn't all it's cracked up to be, you know. Spoilers, making minor characters look like major characters, making major characters look like minor characters, some weird cloaked guy, and two random Blackouts. And that's not getting into all the less advisable changes they've made with the show itself.

I will concede, however, that the music and animation is fantastic. Unlike the Italian FIM opening, which just uses show clips and has a song that--for me--feels painfully generic.

"Anime" is not bad. Why would it be? It is just Japanese Animation, as opposed to American, Canadian or British Animated Productions. But, ah, "Current Japanese Animation Studio Productions", have a majority of terrible, repetitive genres that offer nothing new to the format. We have... breasts and slapstick humour across the board, and while there are a smidgen (3 shows, maybe, at the beginning of this year) of productions I can give the go-ahead on, overall, studios have fallen into a Spongebob Syndrome (To put it mildly), airing anime that would (And should) have probably died with dignity seasons and seasons ago.

On a personal note, I do find present studio productions terrible due to the emphasis of flash over substance. The most engaging and well-written show I've watched (Animated, in any case) in the last 18 months is an American production in "Transformers: Prime" (Yes, big shock, not My Little Pony), which balances and executes flash AND substance. If you're going to find a show that executes it just as well from the East, you're going to have to go back to the early Naughties, because since then, anime has ground itself slower and slower. While western animation does have terrible hiccups (And boy, do they have them), if we're looking at high tier shows, I can attest that the best productions America has to offer outstrip the Japanese ones.

So, you're saying the best american cartoons are better than the best japanese animes?
I don't see that.

U.S. cable and satellite providers demand more time for commercials, their source of income. Therefore, they demand the studios to squeeze everything else, even cut scenes out to make time. Intros and closing credits are no exceptions. Foreign markets don't have that kind of pressure.

@Skully: Yeah. It's called "Transformers EVO."

Also, IMO Italian MLP's theme is good (if not a bit corny), but the rest of the dub...

Hasbro doesn't make the foreign dubs, whichever channel it can sell the broadcasting rights to does.

If you like the dub, thank the station on foreign-land doing it.

@Nights Foreign countries have just as much commercial air time as America. Americans just don't like wasting time on intros. Want to know why anime is 24 minutes instead off 22 like our cartoons. The intro. The intro is the only reason why anime is longer. I don't watch MLP for the fucking intro.

Spike, there has been a ton of anime with better writing than transformers the last year. The problem is that you guys usually only watch the popular shows and think there us no depth. Penguindrum and Hyougemono were some of the best anime recently. But I vet you have not watched them of gave them the chance. Wannabe and experts are full of it.
