Is really any need to force a character to be more "evil"? I believe it's used as a lame tool for creativity to "justify" the one-sided drama...even i believe it reaches wangst levels. I can't see the need of this

Trixie has been Draco-in-leather-pantsed to the point of almost ruining her character. This comic is perfectly in line with her canon personality, people. DEAL WITH IT.
Depicting Trixie the way she is in the show is not "random hate." That is part of her character. I'd say the real Trixie haters are the ones who refuse to acknowledge the official depiction of her character and instead try to supplant it with this made-up woobie version that does not exist anywhere outside of fanboys' heads. |

@247 - <yawn> Yes it *is* random hate. Please demonstrate any way Trixie took other's achievements. She embellished her own, true, as any travelling entertainer would do, but *never* claimed she did something others did. Show proof she did that in any way or GTFO together with that made-up hatedom version that has nothing in common with MLP Trixie.
And yeah, that stupid Trixie flanderization/insertion into interaction that never happened in the show blemishes otherwise very fine art. Plus, since when in Rainbow Dash skilled at medicine or Fluttershy taking credit for anything? These two were flanderized into caricatures, too, sorry. |

@336 & bboifatz; anon273 here. To explain my point let us skip the Trixie example portrayed in this page. Let us see the first one, where the trio that in the series mock Rainbow dash because her flow are featured; common pegasi mocking on the flaws of another, hold the press!..But to reach the levels of beating?! and Fluttershy!?!? Clearly someone is forcing violent behaviour in antagonist characters to justify the angst, and i'm not a fan of the douche-pegasi-trio. |

Look, Trixie lied about defeating an Ursa Major in Hoofingtoon to make her self look good. Why wouldn't she lie and take credit for defeating an Ursa Major in this story, if it meant that she would look good and be rewarded by the local townspeople? Give me a legitimate answer to this question and I'll admit defeat and will agree that Trixie is being portrayed out of character in this comic.
Also, PonyRig's comment was (as far as I can tell) aimed at everyone on this forum, not at one group (so don't get so defensive about it). And Anon946 how does putting Bandages on Fluttershy's wings make Rainbow Dash "skilled in medicine." If that's all it takes to be skilled in medicine than I deserve a medical license for being able to self administer advil and knowing the basics of CPR. And even if you were right it wouldn't be flanderization, it would be an Ass Pull. Don't use terms you don't know. .....So how many response saying "TL;DR" or "Haters gonna Hate", do you think this comment will receive? |

@Anon377; Well, I tried to explain the out of character with other examples in the first page (which seems that was being ignored) and well, since happened once to help the drama, it would happen again (basically, what we are arguing here)
Nevertheless I can spot a continuity mistake. This can be taken as over-analizing, but well. The ursa portrayed here is the mayor. If this happened in the past, in the episode that would be more "present" Trixie would spotted that the Ursa that was causing a wreck in ponyville was the Ursa Minor, not the Mayor. Now how can we know that? the hat and the cape that was lost in ponyville AS WELL that no one had , in trixies testimony, vanquished the Ursas. Except for Twilight But to answer your question:It hasn't been shown such behavior as taking credit for something she didn't done, hence, it's OOC. If you and others like to stretch the chance that she would do it, but that would be crossing the line. AS happened of the douche-trio-pegasi reaching the point, or crossing the line, of beating. |
