ACTA is all about setting up an international organization (which can make amendments to ACTA, so that they can bypass democracy) to handle this stuff, and at the same time lokking all the countries into a stricter variant of the DMCA, with no protections added. Basically, it doesn't immediately fukk with the internet, it just prevents us from ever undoing the DMCA bullshit and sets up a framework to force countries into using implementations that resemble SOPA and PIPA. |
