Oooh, I have an idea for an episode.
Applejack is short on bits and needs some to send Apple Bloom on a field trip or something. She tries to raise money by selling more apples but she can only sell the average amount. A stranger with sunglasses walks up and buys a crap load and Applejack is like "Why?" and he is like "You can make drugs out of apples." Applejack then starts making apple-meth. She realizes it is hurting other ponies but keeps making it because she needs the bits. Then she finds out Apple Bloom gets all high off her plot on the stuff and realizes that Apple Bloom is a jerk and doesn't need to go on field trips, so she stops selling it. The end |

Wasn't Celestia the one that raised Spike? SHe should be Spike's mom.
Besides, Twilight was way too young to be the acting mother to Spike back then. I always imagined they grew up like brother and sister under Celestia's (or Twilight's parent's) watch. |

It needs some refinement and streamlining, but I could honestly see this as not only an actual episode, but one of those that the fans will treasure above most of the others. Fund it. |

The story's great as it is. Maybe if it was told in the form of a comic it would be easier to sell as an animation storyboard. Many comics have been made into film this way. |

@722: Celestia probably helped raise Spike for a while, but Spike saw Twilight first which means she would be the one he identifies with as his mother, and she seems to have been his caretaker for the last few years (however short a time that may have been). Even if Twilight was too young to raise him by herself when she was still a filly, it seems likely that Spike would have a strong maternal bond with her. |
