mhmmm.... i think that they amy be talking about Either Lyra or sparkler, both unicorns were seen on Canterlot's royal academy, and seemed to know twilight and be in good terms with her in general, also since Lyra's Waifu and Sparkler's family live on ponyville, they both have good covers if twilight ask them why they did came to ponyville whe she did

You know, I could see them doing another Spike episode for Season 3, showing Ponyville from Spike's POV. Basically, it'd be one long "letter to the Princess", narrated by Spike, detailing all the craziness he witnesses in your average Ponyville day. "Dear Princess Celestia, Spike here. It's been a while since you packed me off with your prize pupil Twilight Sparkle to help her learn about friendship. Have you any idea what it's like to be a baby dragon in a little village like Ponyville? Well let me tell you..."
