Someone at Hasbro who doesn't know anything about the internet heard what "Derp" may or may not mean, decided it was offensive and demanded that Derpy be renamed. |

They don't want Derpy to get too much exposure, because a character like her could easily become the Jar Jar Binks of the series. They're being careful to not use her too much, so that doesn't happen. She'll be back. |
