Rainbow's Reading and the Cancer pony are all cool over here at Ponibooru. other than that I don't know what he's talking about besides the Derpy Drama

I honestly didn't even think Cancer when I saw the bald pony. I still don't think the two are synonymous. A lot of people just lose their hair. /shrug

jinratgeist is an animator on the show who did Evolution of a Scene... and now the fandom pissed him off. =|

Mare Do Well was a badly-written episode, that's why.

Eh, the minority did it. Can someone link us the "Vocal Minority" trope? It explains this shit accurately.

sounds kind of like he's both stupid and misinformed

"6 people got mad about derpy while being OBVIOUSLY retarded (offense intended), therefore whole fandom is awful"

grow up, dude!

People tend to take stuff for granted after a while, no matter how amazing it is. I think everyone just needs to step back, take a deep breath, and go back to how they felt when they first discovered they like this show, and realize how lucky they are to have found it. There's a difference between analyzing something and just plain out nitpicking, and unfortunately, some bronies have started to nitpick WAAAY too much, and convince themselves that little things are horrible.

I've noticed a bit of a decline since the Mare-Do-Well episode, but I'm still pretty optimistic about the fandom as a whole. I think everyone can pull themselves together, as long as you realize what you have before it's gone. And if you really nitpick that much in a really negative way...well....maybe you would be happier watching something else? *shrug*

Anyways, I think the fandom still awesome, but I guess we need to remind ourselves why we joined it in the first place, and not take that for granted (repeating myself, I know, but it drives me nuts when people take amazing stuff for granted). Love and tolerance everypony! And no matter what happens and what people say, this show is still amazing. :)

@Fuzzy_Logic I don't think this guy is stupid. I think there has been quite a bit of negativity in the fandom as of late, and not just with a minority. It's pretty obvious that the Derpy stuff was just a vocal minority, but that doesn't stop the fact that a lot of people have been really negative and hateful lately. Maybe the motto is worn out by now, but I'll say it again anyways, because I think it really works: love and tolerance.

Supposed illiteracy? Cake baby nitpick? What???
Also, again it's the vocal MINORITY! He could see that if he visited Sibsy's page, memebase, ponibooru, EqD or ANY pony website.

I can understand his frustration, but he needs to calm down.

- We love and support Derpy
- Cake baby nitpicks? I still don't know what he means.
- MMDW . . .was meh...(I thought Cutie Pox was far worse)
- RD's illiteracy? Who the buck started that???

I hope someone talks to this guy and gets him to understand the situation better. He seems to be hounded by trolls or something.

@theguywiththereallylongname: The nitpicking about the Cake's babies is about how each little one was doing way more than anyone thought possible and that it broke the show or something. *facepalm*

If I may remind everyone of a brilliant piece of advice: the MST3K Mantra, "Its just a show and I should really just relax."
Talk about the show, make theories, make accusations; but don't fucking analyze it to death.

@TheAntiCat: Ah, the Mantra... there was never a better invention to mankind than that Mantra... and the MST itself.

He posted an a second bulletin after that, much calmer. I still hate it that the fandom has pushed the crew to this point, though.

Eh, considering how relatively close the fandom is to the staff of the show and how new the fandom is there's bound to be a bit of tension every now and then.

Pushed. Haha implying they can't just ignore it and make more awesome.
If anything they should up the ante with a Very Special Episode involving Twilight teaching the CMC how to care for cancerpony and then ppl freak out that little kids can't possibly handle responsibility like that but they go FUCK YOU AGEISTS WE GON DO WAT WE WANT *buttswish* and save the day somehow.

Wait, are there bad episodes on this show?
I'm afraid not. If you don't like a episode because you're a whiny kid, shut up and don't watch it. Some people joined the brony community for avoiding "civil hate". Will we make it possible or what?

I think it's fair to say Mare-do-well was an objectively 'bad episode'. Not tos ay people can't like it, but it was overwhelmingly poorly recieved, had an extremely obvious plot, wasn't really clever at all, and was the first thing the writer had written for TV ever. It was downright not good.

No fuzzy. I loved Mare Do Well. shut up about 'subjectively had' bullshit. You are as bad as the rest of the whiners

What the hell, Fuzzy? Children's cartoon being obvious is perfectly fine. People really grasp at straws when hating that episode.

It's objectively bad simply because it's retreading other stuff that's not even outdated or forgotten yet, that's all. It was a good idea but poorly written, that episode could have been done with any other show on right now, while MLP has come to find its own path with revealing the moral through the episode and not dropping it in your lap at the end. The biggest screw-up being Dash had to be TOLD the moral, not figure it out herself.
It seems like it was written more as a love letter to comics overnight (ie the writer being caught up in her own fanservice) than actually sat down and hammered out and refined.
