OK. What is with all this "Save_Derpy" stuff? Is it a part of the fandom being fantardy and loud as all hell, a similar problem found in other fandoms, too? |

From what I can tell there was some talk about Derpy's name being retconned, edited out and never to be used again because someone thought the term might be offensive, there is a petition being sent to Hasbro about it

It's complicated, but basically it goes like this: 1. Derpy loved as b/g pony, 2. Derpy gets voice, 3. A few vocal fans hate voice and perceived personality, 4. Either because of or as a corrollary to No. 3, Hasbro starts removing her name from merch and blogs, and took The Last Roundup off of iTunes, and 5. The vast majority of fans left who love Derpy are confused and upset by what's happened and want her kept in the show.
THERE IS STILL NO PROOF HASBRO IS TAKING DERPY OUT OF THE SHOW. IT'S STILL ALL RUMORS. |

Let Derpy stay! Don't get rid of her, please! She's everyone's favorite! Don't let those bullies push you around! She is not an insult to people who are "slow" or "mentally handicapped". She is just clumsy and I for one like her voice and don't think it's "ableist". Everyone loves her and anyone who says she's ableist is just an attention seeking moron with a stick up their butt 5 miles long. Hasbro, The Hub, Ms. Faust, I beseech you, Don't take Derpy away! |
