they arn't background ponies, they are story specific antagonists. Background ponies would be characters seen in the background only. You have Protagonists *this show has both primary and secondary protagonists thanks to the Mane 6 and cutie mark crusader* Secondary characters (like Big Mac, Zacora and Cheerilee) Tertiary characters (seldom plot important, but do speak, like Mr and Mrs Cake) Side characters *often episode specific minor speaking roles or are very rarely seen but have some connection to the main characters like Rarity's parents and AppleJack's other family members Background character: often just called Extras, most shows don't have a set cast for this, but this show does; thus the tendency for people to name them. Flim and Flam are Antagonists, characters who work contrary to the protagonists and exist to produce conflict for the plot. |
