I wonder. If Tara Strong was the one chosen to voice Derpy instead, and she used the voice of Bubbles from the Powerpuff Girls, would this big "fight" over how Derpy was portrayed have still happened? |

Probably. While her voice has been interpreted by some as an attempt to make her sound stupid or handicapped, a lot of the drama was just over her name. |

First SOPA, then this. I don't know how much good humor I have left.
I'll lay it down, my life sucks. But I do everything I can for EVERYONE. Not just people I know, EVERYONE. And My Little Pony has become one of my last bastions for sanity. That, and booze. (Sorry.) Now all this bullmess and blind hatred. I can't... I won't allow myself to hate. But... Bad decisions are so easy to make and humanity tends to be so judgemental and panicky that giving into hatred seems like the only option. But its not! I've been there and it's no fun! One side sends a hate threat. The other side re-sends the hate. Next thing you know people are yelling 'nazi' and 'pony-hater.' Mass panic follows. I try to stop the madness before it starts, but on such a massive scale?! What can one dude do?! Does my care matter? Does all the work I do to try and better humanity even mean a damn? I don't know anymore. :'( Derpy is the best pony ever. She just reminds me of myself. Slow and clumsy and a nasty tendency for accidents. As far as I'm concerned, she's perfect as is. I guess that's why I'm being so emotional. Sorry. |
